The 20th annual Business Awards of Excellence gala is taking place next month in Woodstock, and is a presentation of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce.

The theme of this year’s gala is ‘Through the years’ and in addition to celebrating the best current business leaders, it will look back at 150 years of business in Woodstock and Canada.

The evening will begin with cocktails and access to a martini bar. This will give guests the opportunity to network with their Woodstock business peers. It will be followed by dinner and a program. Entertainment will be provided by comedian Greg Morton, who is a Woodstock native.

In total, 11 awards are set to be handed out during the evening, such as Community Service, Entrepreneur of the Year, Commercial, Retailer and the President’s Award. Each recipient will have a chance to briefly address attendees.

This is an important networking event for the Woodstock chamber and it is likely that many of those planning to attend will be placing a new business card printing order in advance, ensuring they have an ample supply for the day.

The Business Awards of Excellence will be held at the Oxford Auditorium on Wednesday, November 1 from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $90 per person. For more information, contact Kim Whitehead at 519-539-9411.
