Winnipeg set to host celebration of Polish food and culture

A showcase based around the nation of Poland will soon be taking place in Winnipeg, and an invitation has been extended to the public to come out and see what it’s all about.

The Polish Gymnastic Association Sokol Winnipeg will be hosting Polish Fest 2017, and there will be lots to see and do for all ages. There will be live demonstrations of traditional Polish dancing, music and other entertainment, and those who come out will also be able to purchase Polish-style food and drinks. There will be an opportunity for them to learn more about the country’s language and history, as well as the role people from the local Polish community have played in the life of the city.

While the food, culture and history of Poland may be the star of the show, it will also shine a light on the contributions of those whose families hail from Croatia, Romania, Serbia and other Eastern European countries. Everyone is welcome, and admission has been priced at $10 each. Banners and other festive decorations for a special event like this can be sourced from an area printing service.

November 4 and 5 have been selected as the dates for this celebration of the local Polish community, and it will take place in the Club Regent Event Centre. All are welcome to come out and enjoy the festivities.
