Winnipeg festival to feature ribs plus a whole lot more

The Rotary Club of Winnipeg has planned an event for the city that will offer ribs plus a whole lot more.

During Ribfest 2017, the public will be able to sit down to a plate of ribs prepared fresh by local barbeque experts, and there is lots more on the agenda as well. There will be live music and other entertainment throughout the weekend, as well as a special area that will be set up for the younger set. Those who come out can try their luck by purchasing a raffle or even split ticket, enjoy an ice cold drink while they relax in the shade or just have a good time with their family and friends.

While the event may be about fun, it’s also about fundraising. The Rotarians are hoping to attract more than 10,000 people to the Ribfest celebration, and he proceeds will be used to help two local youth initiatives. Banners and other decorations for a large community event like this can be both designed and produced by a print company.

All of this excitement will be taking place from August 25th to the 27th at the Forks Festival Stage on Market Avenue, and no admission price is being charged t participate. More information about the event and a link to find out further details about the groups that will benefit from the proceeds can be found on the Tourism Winnipeg website.
