Windsor musical event to rock the city for another year

The 4th annual ‘Cainerfest’ is set to hit the stage at Windsor’s RockStar Music Hall, and it promises to offer lot of music and fun in support of mental health awareness and support.

This yearly event has been planned by the Windsor-Essex County Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, and its purpose is to raise funds and increase awareness in the community about mental health and the importance of taking care of it. The goal is to raise at least $15,000, and the planners are hoping that the public will continue to be as generous as it has in the past.

The performances will take place over two evenings, and each will have its own theme. The first night will be rock music, while the second will be dedicated to harder heavy metal. Along with the music, there will be raffles and drawings for door prizes, and guests speakers will be sharing their knowledge and stories with the crowd.

Since one of the main goals of the festival is to increase awareness of mental health issues, there will be information available about a wide variety of resources in the community that can provide assistance, both for a crisis period and over the long term. Local print shops can provide the organizers of this sort of function with brochures, posters, flyers and other promotional products that can help to get the word out.

Cainerfest will be rocking Windsor starting on September 7. Further details are available on its Facebook listing.
