Whitby gardens to open their gates to the public for annual tour

June 24, 2018 by

Some of Whitby’s properties will be opening their garden gates to the public, and both green thumbs and those who just want some inspiration for their own properties may wish to make plans to be included in the day.

The Whitby in Bloom Garden Tour will give the public a chance to get a sneak peek into some of the community’s most beautiful gardens. The locations will be scattered throughout the town, and the tours are offered once a year.

This year, those who wish to visit the different stops are asked to bring along a donation of a nonperishable food item. These will be collected and donated to local food banks to help them fill their shelves for those in need.

The organizers of the occasion have put out a request to businesses and individuals in the community who would like to help ensure the day is a success. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available, and this assistance will be most appreciated. Volunteer T-shirts, maps of the route, programs and other printed items for an event like this can be sourced form a local promotional products supplier.

This year’s Whitby garden tour will be offered to the public on July 21, and it will begin at 10:00 am. Anyone who would like more information about the route or how they can become an event sponsor or volunteer has been asked to visit the Whitby website.
