Whitby event to share secrets of successful succession planning

January 24, 2018 by

Succession planning can be an important part of developing and growing a business, and a Whitby area event will provide an in-depth exploration of this process.

BDO Canada’s Jeff Noble will moderate a discussion of the topic of planning for this transitional time in a business, and the subject will be explored from a variety of angles. There will also be time for the attendees to share best practices, and give their input into the topic.

The session will include details about how good succession planning can help a business owner to protect their financial investment, and also their intellectual, human and social capital. Participants will learn how they can ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible and also how the owner can maintain positive relationships with their business partners, employees, and others with whom they interact.

The workshop is being offered as part of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s Succession Planning Learning Series, and it will be held in its UB Mezzanine. It is located at 2000 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa. A local printer can supply presentation folders and other materials for use during an educational event like this.

This exploration of the art of successful succession planning will be taking place on February 27. Anyone who would like more information can find it on the Whitby Chamber of Commerce’s website.
