Vendor applications open for Richmond Hill Farmers’ Market

March 9, 2018 by

The Richmond Hill Farmers’ Market will soon be returning for another summer season, and the organizers have issued an invitation to any vendors that may be interested in being a part of these events.

The market offers the public a chance to purchase locally grown produce and also other products such as honey, flowers, hand made crafts, art and other items. Each applicant, if approved, will be assigned a space that is either 10’ by 10’ or 10’ by 20’. If a larger space is desired, there may be additional fees.

Those who will be setting up a booth will be expected to begin set up each day at 8:30 am, and the market itself will run from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm. Take down is permitted between the hours of 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Vendors who wish to participate must have their operation located no further than 200 km from Richmond Hill.

The produce that is sold at the event must be labelled according to the regulations set out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Labels and other packaging supplies for this type of function can be supplied by an area printer.

The Richmond Hill Farmers’ Market will be held each Sunday, starting on June 10th. More information for anyone who would like to participate can be found on the community’s website.
