Vaughan issues call for Canada Day sponsors and performers

Canada Day is on the way, and Vaughan will be celebrating by hosting a special event. It is currently accepting applications from any local performers, community groups and businesses that may be interested in being a part of the fun of the occasion.

The city will be hosting the activities to mark the country’s birthday at Boyd Conservation Area, which can be found at 8739 Islington Avenue. They are scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon and will run until 8:00 pm.

Those who come to the free celebration will be able to take part in an assortment of different games and other fun, and there will also be live performers to keep the crowd entertained. The kids can take a spin in one of the bounce houses, and there will also be face painting and craft stations set up. The adults can browse through the business zone, and a food zone will be on offer for anyone who would like a bite to eat. Wide format printing can be used to create banners, signs and other large size decorations for this type of community festival.

The organizers are currently accepting applications from both performers and businesses or organizations that would like to be included in the event. They noted that they expect at least 320,000 people to come out for the celebration, and more information about the occasion, which will be held on July 1, can be found on the Vaughan website.
