Vaughan invited to raise their hats in support of mental health

August 13, 2017 by

This fall, residents of Vaughan will be asked to don their favorite decorative hat and come to an event that will show solidarity and support for those living with mental illness.

The 9th annual Hartsquerade will see hundreds of people from all across the GTA and the surrounding areas coming together for an evening of fun. It will open with an extensive selection of starters, which will be followed by a main course, served sit-down style. Specialty drinks will be served for the occasion, and there will also be entertainment and dancing. The organizers noted that last year, there were over 700 guests, and they are hoping that this year will be just as successful.

The ticket price for the evening has been set at $175 each, and there will be complimentary onsite parking. It will be held in Vaughan’s Universal Event Space, and everyone is welcome. Proceeds from the evening will be used to help fund various community-based initiatives that support mental health. A local stationery printing service can supply printed invitations, signage, and more for a festive fundraising affair such as this.

This gala event has been planned for October 27, and the doors will open at 6:00 pm. Anyone who would like additional information or who wishes to purchase tickets can find it on the organizer’s website.
