Vancouver run to support Canuck House

The winter holiday season is often a time for giving, and this will be the case during an event that will soon be hitting the streets of Vancouver.

The city’s Stanley Park will serve as the backdrop for The Big Elf Run, which has events for every age and level of ability. There will be both 5km and 10km courses as well, as a 1km Wee Elf run for the kids, and those who are interested can walk, run or roll along the route of their choice.

At 11:30 am, the participants will begin to gather and check in for the event, and at 1:30 pm, the younger attendees’ Wee Elf run will get underway. Those who will be taking part in the 5km or 10km options will hit the trail at 2:00 pm. Once all the runners have made it to the finish line, there will be an awards ceremony and time for the assembled group to socialize and build connections.

This community event is being held as a fundraiser for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and along with the run, there will be entertainment a vendor market and prize giveaways. To help make sure that there is a large turnout for an occasion such as this, stationery printers can provide flyers, posters and an assortment of other promotional products.

This opportunity for the community to come together in support of families that are facing some very difficult times will be held on December 15. More details, including a link to register, can be found on the run’s online listing.
