Vancouver function to raise funds in support of good mental health

June 1, 2018 by

The Kettle Society is a Vancouver organization that supports mental health through variety of community initiatives, and it will be hosting a benefit to highlight its challenges and celebrate its success.

The Lazy Gourmet will be providing an assortment of gourmet treats that will be served along with cocktails during the evening, and guests will have an opportunity to mingle and learn more about The Kettle Society and its work in the city. The Permanent, which is a heritage space, will be the venue for the function, and there will be entertainment to enjoy.

The Kettle Choir will give a performance as part of the occasion, and the keynote speaker for the function will be Lieutenant-General Romeo Dallaire, who will be speaking about the impact hidden wounds can have on someone’s overall mental health and how this can affect the community as a whole.

The proceeds from the benefit will be used by The Kettle to meet the expenses of offering its mental services and other programming to vulnerable segments of the population, such as those who are homeless, have a physical illness, or are living in poverty. Brochure printing can be used to create materials to distribute during an occasion like this to help guests learn more about the host and the work it does.

This fundraiser has been planned for June 12. The organizer’s website contains more details.
