Vancouver event will explore local career and educational opportunities

October 2, 2017 by

Vancouver will soon be welcoming postsecondary students, teachers and school counselors, parents and anyone else who is interested in exploring the different educational and career options available to them in the community.

The Education and Career Fair will offer those who attend a variety of opportunities to learn about an assortment of careers, postsecondary educational institutions and much more. They will also have a chance to participate in a different session that will aid them in acquiring the interview skills they need to land their dream career, learn about occupational health and safety, and receive career counseling, all from experts in their respective fields.

In addition to the above, representatives of different industry associations will be on hand to meet with the public and discuss where the different career opportunities can be found in the province. There will also be recruiters and HR personnel who will be accepting résumés and discussing the current and future positions that are available at their company. There is no fee to participate. Job applications and other personalized business forms for a day like this can be provided by an area printer.

November 30 has been chosen as the date for the career and education fair, and it will be held in the Vancouver Convention Centre. Anyone who is interesting in finding out more can do so on the organizer’s Facebook page.
