Upcoming gala will help to fund new programs for children

The 4th annual Masquerade Charity Ball is taking place this month in Coquitlam. It is a fundraiser for the Coquitlam Firefighters Charitable Society.

The goal for this year is to raise $50,000 to fund the Nutritional Breakfast and Snack Program and to launch the “Fill the Pack” and “Schoolbreak Support” programs.

Over 250 guests are expected to attend the ball. The evening will start off with a VIP Cocktail Reception for the sponsors. It will then be followed by a gourmet dinner. Guests will be entertained by dueling pianos, raffles and live and silent auctions. A professional photographer will be on hand to document the event.

Guests are encouraged to dress in black tie and gowns and to wear elaborate face masks; simple masks will be supplied for those who don’t bring their own. In addition, the table with the best costumes will win drinks.

This popular Coquitlam event will likely be advertised extensively in the community. Organizers may work with a marketing services company to decide on what advertising will be most effective.

The Masquerade Charity Ball will be held at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam on October 28 from 6:00pm to 11:59pm. Tickets are $100 each and tables of eight are available. To learn more about this event, contact James Martins at 778-318-0478.
