Fluid Fest is taking place for three weeks in Calgary beginning this month. It will celebrate all of the incarnations of dance and contemporary art.

There will be several workshops, artist talks and many performances to be held at the DJD Dance Centre and cSPACE King Edward. The festival is aimed at showing the public what dance is capable of projecting and why it is an important part of the arts that should be appreciated by all.

Some of the events taking place during the festival are Kickstart: CanAsian Dance, the Physical Therapy Cabaret, Women in Search of Soul and Moving/Forward, a Festival of Recorded Movement. The production ‘She Said’ So will feature three separate parts: Container, ReAWaken and A Fine Kind of Madness. There will also be a Body in Space art party, performances of Lisbeth Gruwez Dances Bob Dylan, and some spoken word performances.

A pass for the full festival is $125, while a pass for five shows is $100.

The organizers of this event may contact Calgary poster printing firms to order posters, which can be displayed at various public places in the city to encourage people to attend.
