The EPCOR River fest is taking place in three communities in the North Saskatchewan River Valley next month.

The Edmonton part of the festival will be held at Laurier Park. It starts off at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park where participants will be shuttled to Terwilliger Park from there a convoy of boats will travel down the North Saskatchewan River to Laurier Park; this trip will take approximately two hours.

Participants can choose between the rental of three types of boats. A small raft costs $15 per person and fits up to four, a large raft is also $15 per person and fits up to 16 passengers and a large canoe which carries up to 18 people and costs $10 per person. Boaters must be aged six and older.

Once at Laurier Park, there will be activities held both on the water and on land. Some on-land activities will include cycling and exhibits from local companies most likely associated in some way with boating.

Events are also taking place in Fort Saskatchewan at West River’s Edge and Devon starting at Voyageur Park. Both will have the same type of on-land activities.

Exhibitors may invest in the services of Edmonton print shops for signage and banners before events like the EPCOR River Fest, which will take place at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park on August 11. Call 587-401-3355 to learn more about this event.
