Two upcoming events to help the kids of Lethbridge

There are two charity fundraisers taking place next month in Lethbridge that will raise funds to help children.

The first is the 21st Golf for Kids’ Sake tournament. A fundraising event for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge and District, the tournament has raised over $724,000 for the organization since its inception.

Individual golfers must raise a minimum of $700 in pledges to participate. Fees for a team of two are $1,050 and $2,000 for four; both are also expected to raise pledges.

The tournament will start off at 7:00 AM with breakfast and registration. It will be followed by golf, lunch and a steak dinner; refreshments will be served on the course.

Later on in the month, the 2nd annual Green N Yellow Camp Chili Cook Off will take place. It raises funds for the Chinook Autism Society, and guests will enjoy free ribs and are asked to bring their own chili for a potluck dinner. There will also be a rib cook-off and a prize drawing.

Organizers of charity events often work with Lethbridge print shops to produce printed advertising.

The Golf for Kids’ Sake tournament will be held at the Picture Butte Golf Club on June 8. Call 403-328-5960 to learn more.

The Green N Yellow Camp Chili Cook Off will take place at Shaughnessy Hall Field from June 15 to 17. Tickets are $22. Visit the official Facebook event page for more information.
