Toronto fundraiser to shine a light on food security in the city

October 21, 2018 by

Not everyone in Toronto experiences food security, and this is the impetus behind an event on the horizon for Toronto.

The city’s culinary community will be coming together to prepare a feast of street-style bites for this year’s ‘Street Eats Fest 2018’. A large group of chefs will be preparing the food for the occasion, and they will be offering a diverse mix of dishes.

The doors for the function are set to open at 6:30 pm, and when they arrive, each guest will be welcome to enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer that has been crafted in Canada. They can also sample any of the food that will be offered and take to the dance floor, where they can show off their moves to music provided by Loading Zone, which is a popular local classic top 40 music band.

While the event may be fun, it also has a message to share. Each ticket sold will help the CRC’s Regent Park Community Food Centre Program provide nutritious food to people in need. Stationery printers can work with the group organizing this sort of function to provide it with everything from banners and other decorations, to personalized invitations for any VIP guests.

Tickets for this festival of street food are on offer at a price of $75 each. It has been planned for November 21.
