Tasty Markham tradition will be back for another year

One of Markham’s summer traditions is to spend an afternoon sampling ribs and other barbequed treats at the Rotary Ribfest celebration, and this year will be no exception.

The event will feature offerings from some of North America’s top rib chefs, and there will be entertainment and other activities for all ages. It is held as a fundraiser, and the proceeds will be used to help meet the cost of the various initiatives the Rotary club offers in the community.

Guests at the function will be treated to barbequed ribs, chicken and pulled pork, and several food trucks will also be parked onsite. As the eventgoers enjoy the food, they can take in entertainment provided by local bands, and a beer and wine tent will also be set up. The younger attendees can spend some time in the kids’ zone, and the whole occasion has been planned to be fun for all.

Admission to Ribfest 2018 is $2 each, and kids who are 12 and under can enter free of charge. Logo design and other branding services for this type of large celebration can be provided by a printer in the local area.

This community event that will put ribs centre stage will be held on July 6, 7, and 8 in downtown Markham. Its Facebook event listing is available for anyone who would like to find out more about the occasion or how the proceeds raised will be utilized.
