Surrey to celebrate all things Celtic

January 8, 2017 by

An upcoming Surrey celebration will put Celtic culture front and centre.

The institution will once again be hosting its annual Celtic Fest, which will feature performances by Celtic dancers and musicians as they entertain the crowd.

There will also be a scavenger hunt with the clues placed throughout the galleries in the museum, an opportunity to craft a Loch Ness monster puppet and a paper tartan, and an assortment of other activities. Guests can watch the Celtic calligraphy demonstration and even receive a special personalized bookmark lettered by hand using the characters. Local community groups that have a connection to Celtic culture will also be on hand to celebrate the day.

The Kids Gallery will also be open for visitors to browse through, and there is no entry fee being charged to take part in the festival. Signs and other decorative items for an event like this can be both designed and supplied by a printer.

The annual Celtic Fest will take place in the Surrey Museum on March 18 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. It is located at 17710- 56 A Avenue in the town centre of Cloverdale. Further details are available on the city’s website, and a contact phone number of 604-592-6956 has also been provided for those who would like to speak to a staff member in person.
