Support meeting addresses autism in Surrey

Surrey parents and caregivers of a child or children on the autism spectrum can learn about the different programs and services that are available to them in the local area at a Surrey event taking place next month.

The evening will be hosted by the Autism Support Network South Surrey neighborhood Group, and it is open to all. The agenda for the function includes both information and discussion, and one of the topics included on the slate for the evening will be a conversation about how families can set up their own home-based ABA therapy program.

There will also be plenty of time for those who come out to network and share stories with others who understand the challenges they face in parenting their autistic son or daughter.

The meeting will take place in a private residence, and the location will be shared with each person who RSVPs their intention to attend. The will be no fee charged to participate in the function. Flyer printing techniques can be used by a local printer to craft flyers and other promotional materials for a community-based function such as this.

The information and discussion session has been planned for November 23rd, and it will take place from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. More details can be obtained by contacting the organizers at dione@autismsupportbc.ca.
