Stoney Creek March Break camp to focus on animals

February 28, 2017 by

This March break, children from Stoney Creek are invited to participate in a program that will give them a chance to indulge in their love of animals.

The Hamilton-Burlington SPCA will be holding a Junior Humane Program March break camp. Geared towards those aged 7 to 12, the campers will have an opportunity to explore the relationship between humans and animals and what they can do in their own lives and in the broader community to make sure no pet is abused or abandoned. The children will also learn the basics of animal care and the responsibility that goes along with owning a pet. Comb binding can be utilized by the organizers of this type of activity to provide handbooks and other materials for each of the young people who takes part.

Guest speakers will be brought in to facilitate presentations with the campers, and some of them will even be bringing along different animals so the participants can have a chance to see them up close and find out more about them. Only a limited number of spaces have been made available, so anyone who is interested in having their children participate is advised to sign them up as soon as possible.

The March break camp will run from March 13 to 17. Additional details have been made available on
