Mature adults can obtain free health information from a local wellness fair being held in just over a week’s time.

Seniors aged 55 years and older are invited to attend this Ottawa-based Health and Wellness Fair. Admission and parking is free for all those who attend, with complimentary refreshments and live entertainment. The fair opens at 10:00 am, with the first 200 attendees receiving a free swag bag.

The event features complimentary health screenings, where informational brochures and pamphlets may be provided.

New products designed for the needs of seniors will be demonstrated during the fair. Promotional products and samples may also be distributed to those who attend.

The Olde Forge is a charitable organization that provides recreation and fitness programs to seniors and adults with disabilities. Support is provided for adults living in their own homes, and community involvement is encouraged. More information can be found on its website.

The fair is organized each year by the Ottawa West Community Support group and The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Facilities are provided by The Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre, which is located at 102 Greenview Avenue.
