Brampton and area seniors will be gathering later this month, to receive free information about the Federal and Provincial benefit and assistance programs available to them.

Hosted by The Centre for Education and Training in Brampton, this session will cover the Ontario Disability Support Program, as well as the Old Age Security Pension and the Canada Pension Plan. Seniors who attend may be provided with note pads and take-home brochures during the seminar.

A non-profit organization established in 1996, employees at The Centre for Education and Training are dedicated to helping members of the community achieve their personal and professional goals.

The centre’s carefully selected and prepared services include senior and youth programming, career counselling and employment services, immigrant language programs and settlement services, as well as human resources for small to midsize corporations.

The information session will be held this Friday August 18, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. The seminar is appropriate for all seniors, including those who have not yet registered for government programming, as well as those already receiving benefits who have questions about their coverage.

Refreshments will be provided during the meeting, providing an opportunity to socialize and ask any questions about the material presented.

Seniors may register for this seminar, by calling (905) 457-4747, extension 3013, or by emailing nic@tcet.com. The Centre for Education and Training is located at 7700 Hurontario Street, Unit 601, Suite 100.
