Seedy Saturday set for Surrey

March 13, 2018 by

Surrey is about to get a little bit seedy, and all those who are interested in adding to their gardens may wish to attend.

The Historic Stewart Farms will be hosting its annual Seedy Saturday sale, and everything from heritage seeds to gardening advice will be on offer. Many of the cultivars will be ones that have been grown for centuries, and both flowers and vegetables will be on offer.

Along with the seeds, shoppers can ask questions and get advice from the volunteers and other experts who will be on site for the occasion. They can also tour the farm and its flower and vegetable beds to see the plants and maybe even get some inspiration. Freshly baked goods will be on sale, and costumed guides will be demonstrating the way the different farm and household jobs used to be done.

The younger folks in the crowd can participate in the activities that will be set up just for them. There is no charge to participate in the day, and all are welcome. A printer can use wide format printing techniques to craft banners and other promotional products for this type of public event.

This year’s Seedy Saturday has been planned for April 7, and it will be taking place from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. More details can be found on the Surrey website.
