Rural Tourism conference set for Camrose

January 3, 2017 by

Tourism can be an important facet of a rural economy, and during an upcoming Camrose conference, attendees will be able to learn more about how they can attract more visitors to their own local area.

The three-day 2017 Growing Rural Tourism conference will offer a wealth of ideas and information to its attendees. There will be presentations by guest speakers, time for networking and sharing best practices, a gala dinner, and tours of what the immediate area has to offer tourists. On the second night of the conference, a dinner will take place where Rural Tourism awards will be presented to those who have been selected to win.

The event has been organized through a partnership between the Camrose Regional Exhibition and Alberta Culture and Tourism, Tourism Camrose, the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies, and Travel Alberta. It will be the 16th year that the symposium has been held. A variety of scholarship opportunities are available to help meet the attendance costs for business owners and managers who would like to participate. Comb binding can be used to create handouts and other materials to be given to each person who comes to a function like this.

The event will take place from February 13th to 15th in Camrose. Early bird registration specials are available to anyone who signs up to participate before January 19th, and further details can be found by visiting the event’s website.
