Richmond Hill ready to celebrate Canada Day in style

June 18, 2018 by

This Canada Day, many people in the GTA will be heading to Richmond Hill to join in a celebration of the country’s birthday, and everyone is welcome.

The community’s Richmond Green Park will be the location for the festivities, and there will be activities for all ages. The fun will kick off at 11:00 am and keep on going until 10:00 pm, when the fireworks will start.

The activities that will be on offer for the day include a Lego games centre with a lounge area and building competition. A Canada Day Birthday Booth will be set up, as will an EverBlocks Creative Club House. A variety of contests will be held including a texting competition and hula hoop contest, and those who are in need of some retail therapy can head to the marketplace that will be installed at the Richmond Green Sports Centre. An art exhibit, midway food and beverage pavilion, and beer garden will also be part of the fun, and the day will be capped off with the fireworks show.

To help make the most of the event, those who come out are asked to bring along a donation for the local food bank. Stationery printers in the area will be able to provide maps of the activities, brochures and other items for an event like this.

This celebration in honour of Canada will be held on July 1. More details can be found on the town’s website.
