Ribs return to Kitchener next month

June 28, 2018 by

The Downtown Ribfest and Craft Beer Show is taking place in Kitchener next month for three days. Admission to the show is free but donations will be accepted for the Food Bank of Waterloo.

The event is set to feature some of the best rib chefs and barbecuers in the Kitchener area, with plenty of ribs and chicken for sampling. In addition, there will also be a wide variety of craft-brewed beers available for purchase. Those wishing to sample the beer must purchase a $6 wristband which comes with a sampling glass; beer tokens must be purchased separately for larger drinks and cost $10 for two, $20 for seven, and $30 for twelve.

There will also be plenty of musical entertainment provided by artists such as The Secret Weapons, School of Rock, and Butch Haller and His Chesterfield Ramblers. There will also be a Telus Kids Fun Zone with inflatable rides, although these come with an extra charge.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell foods other than ribs or chicken and souvenirs. It is probable that organizers have contacted a Kitchener poster printing firm to provide products to advertise in the community.

The Downtown Ribfest and Craft Beer Show will be held at Victoria Park from July 20 to 22. VIP tickets are available for $44 ($38 on Sunday) and include a souvenir glass, five beer tokens and access to VIP areas. Visit the event website to learn more.
