Picnic celebrates the reopening of popular Langley park

April 3, 2018 by

The Pancake Picnic in the Park is taking place this month in Langley, presented by the Langley City Council, the Langley Parks Department and the Langley City Youth Committee.

The event is celebrating the reopening of Hunter Park. A pancake brunch will be served at 10:00 AM by the Langley Youth Committee; fruit and drinks will also be available. In addition, the Youth Committee will also be selling a box of Krispy Kreme donuts for $10 to raise funds for Youth Week.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM and will likely include speeches by City Council members and others.

The Vancouver Green Team will be on hand to plant native trees and plants; the public is welcome to help them. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy their pancake picnic and entertainment. Acoustic music will be provided by Jessica Barbour.

Langley stationery printers are often asked to provide printed products such as flyers to help advertise upcoming events such as this. These can be inexpensively and easily distributed in the community.

The Pancake Picnic in the Park will be held at Hunter Park on Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Admission is free of charge. Visit the Facebook event page for the most current information.
