A unique Edmonton resident has made it through some tough times and now has a rosy future ahead of him in his new home.

Pauly the cat had six legs and his hips were malformed. Even though his extra legs were not functional, they did not get in his way.

After being rescued from his difficult life, an online campaign was set up by the Little Cats Lost Society who elicited donations online to help pay for a series of three surgeries to remove the extra limbs and help restore his mobility. He recently underwent the final operation, and according Roxanne Kolmatycki, who is the society’s adoption coordinator, he is doing well.

Ms. Kolmatycki noted that she is pleased that there has been such an outpouring of support from the public to help the cat, and that everyone has been very generous. She further remarked that he should be able to have a long and happy life.

There are many pets in the city that need to find people to adopt them. A calendar printing company can create calendars that include some of their photos and biographies, as well as more information about how to adopt a pet, These can be used to raise both money and awareness.

Pauly is currently going through the process of being adopted by his new family where it is hoped he will settle in well.
