Ottawa gala to shine light on mental illness

March 8, 2018 by

Mental health issues can impact the entire community, and an Ottawa event will seek to make a difference by raising both funds and awareness provides for people with mental illness.

The Sala San Marco Conference & Event Centre will be the location for this year’s Ottawa Mental Health Gala. It will offer an evening of elegance for all who take part.

According to the organizers, the first event was held in 2017, and it proved to be a big success. They are hoping this year will be just as well attended, and have planned a meal, along with music dancing and lots of time to socialize. The guests will also have an opportunity to learn about how their help will aid two community organizations in their efforts to raise awareness about mental health and also provide a place of compassion and support for those living with PTSD, schizophrenia, mood disorders and other issues. It will be a gala affair, and those who will attend are urged to come dressed to impress.

The tickets for the function start at $80.00 each, and tables of 10 are available for businesses or groups who would like to sit together. The proceeds will be donated to The Royal Ottawa and Do it for Darron. Wide format printing can be used by a printer to create banners and other decorations for this type of event.

This evening of fundraising, awareness and fund will be taking place on May 4th. Anyone who would like more information has been invited to visit its website.
