August 10, 2018 by

The Professional Engineers of Ontario ( PEO) has made arrangements for its members to visit and tour the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre ( OV/WRC) to learn more about how its various programs operate.

Those who register for the tour of the facility, which is located in Pembroke, will meet on Lyon Street in Ottawa or 101 Kanata Avenue on Kanata before heading out. Snacks will be served, and each guest has been asked to bring along their refillable water bottle for the excursion.

The 90-minutes-long tour will include remarks from a staff member from OV/WRC. The participants will be driven through the facility, and as they go, they will have an opportunity to view both its recycling and composting operation. A maximum of 40 spaces are available for this chance to learn more about the city’s waste control systems.

Everyone who is interested being a part of the tour has been asked to register ahead of time, and the fee is $10.00. A printer can prepare branded presentation folders and other corporate gifts for this type of event.

The date for the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre Tour has been set as September 25h. It is open to members of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, and more information has been made available on the event’s online listing.
