Oakville sale to kick off 2018 gardening season

April 11, 2018 by

Spring has sprung, and in Oakville, that means it is time for an event that will give local gardeners a way to add to their flower and other garden beds.

The Oakville Horticultural Society will be hosting its annual plant sale, and a wide variety of plants will be on offer. Many of them will be perennials that will continue to add beauty to the landscape for many years to come.

Those who come to the function can browse through the offerings, and while they do, they can chat with other green thumbs. Members of the society, as well as a Halton Master Gardener will be on hand to give tips, answer questions and help people in choosing a selection well suited to the particular location they wish to plant in. All will be locally grown and have shown to do well in most of Oakville.

Anyone who comes to the sale has been asked to bring along boxes to take their purchases home in. Banner printing and other promotional services for this type of function can be supplied by an area printer.

This horticultural event will be taking place May 12th at Munn’s United Church, which is located at 5 Dundas Street. More information, including a list of some of the varieties that will be sold, can be found on the organizer’s website.
