Oakville planning Canada Day celebration

June 11, 2018 by

An evening of celebration has been planned for Oakville in honour of Canada Day, and there will be activities on offer for all ages to enjoy while they wait for the grand finale of the occasion to begin.

Members of the public are invited to gather blankets or a lawn chair to sit on, as well as a cooler full of picnic fare to enjoy, then head to Bronte Heritage Park so they can grab a great spot to take in the fun. Free water stations will be set up so people can fill their water bottles, and food will be available for purchase.

Games and other activities will be set up, and there will also be live music. The evening will be capped off by a big fireworks display over the water for all to enjoy. A banner printing company can provide any decorations needed to make an event like this complete. While there is limited parking available near the site, a shuttle service will be offered from the Bronte GO station, and a bike coral will be available for those who wish to ride their bicycle to the festivities. People who plan on attending are asked to leave their pets at home.

The whole community is welcome to come to the Oakville Canada Day celebration. It will be held on July 1, and more information can be found on the Visit Oakville website.
