Oakville culinary event offers new tastes and experiences

January 11, 2018 by

A Taste of Oakville is a 15-day local food fair held each year in downtown Oakville and Bronte Village.

The experience offers locals and visitors from surrounding cities the opportunity to sample some of the best menu options available from restaurants in the community.

Food choices are vast, including casual fare like burgers and pizza, and elegant choices available from the fine dining restaurants participating in this year’s event. Participating establishments will offer ‘prix-fixe’ menu options, with lunch prices including $15, $20 and $25 offerings, and dinner choices ranging from $20 to $40.

Printing services may be used to create promotional coupons and full restaurant menus, to encourage visitors to return after the food fair ends. A full list of participating restaurants and their event menus is available on the Taste of Oakville website.

The food fair is brought to the area each year by the businesses in Downtown Oakville and Bronte Village, in coordination with the Downtown Oakville Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Bronte Business Improvement Area (BIA). These BIA associations strive to improve the economy in their sponsored areas by creating a desirable locale for working and living in, as well as visiting, dining and shopping in.

The 2018 A Taste of Oakville culinary event will be held from Wednesday, January 24 to Wednesday, February 7. Parking is free after 6:00 PM in downtown Oakville, and all day on Sundays. Alternatively, parking is always free in Bronte Village.
