Nonprofit gymnastics club hosting benefit

The Niagara Falls Lightning Gymnastics club will be holding a Trivia Night Fundraiser in early March.

Lightning Gymnastics has been providing programming since 1976 for children of all ages from the Niagara region, including St. Catharines, Thorold, Niagara Falls and Welland. The not-for-profit club follows the badge system founded by CANGYM, which can improve children’s strength and flexibility while inspiring high self-esteem with positive reinforcement from certified gymnastic instructors.

Fundraisers like the Trivia Night allow the gymnastics club to continue to offer fun and educational lessons at reasonable rates for local children in the region. Brochures about the several financial assistance programs available, including ‘Pro Kids’, the Canadian Tire ‘Jump Start’ program and ‘Kidsport Niagara’, may be available at the club’s office.

The Trivia Night Fundraiser will be held on Saturday March 3rd, from 5:30-10:00 PM, at the Allanburg Community Centre located at 1560 Falls Street in Thorold. The event will include a dinner (with a cash bar), and raffle prizes. The doors open at 5:30 PM, with the first games starting at 6:30 PM. Tickets will cost $20 per person, and are available for purchase at the club’s office.

The Niagara Falls Lightning Gymnastics Club is located at 8375 Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls. In addition to scheduled programming, the club offers a 15 years plus co-ed open gym night on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 9:00-10:30 PM. More information about the programs offered by the club and their fundraising campaigns are available on the website.
