The 20th annual Kingsway – Lambton Art Show and Sale is taking place early next month in Etobicoke. It is hosted by the United Church Women (UCW), which raises funds to help approximately 30 community charities.

The theme for this year’s show is “No Fooling” and it is set to feature 33 Canadian artists in mediums such as photography, painting, ceramics, jewelry and metal sculpture; all in all, there are expected to be over 500 original pieces available for purchase. Some of those whose work will be available for sale are John Adams, Anna Clarey and Maria Iva. The featured artist is Michele Rose and her painting “Ontario Farm” will be given away as a door prize.

Visitors will have to opportunity to meet the artists and to find an original work of art for their home or for a gift. It is likely that many of the artists will be bringing their premium business cards to Etobicoke to hand out to anyone who stops by their booth.

The UCW holds several fundraising events and then choose the community charities that they think needs help more.

The Art Show and Sale will be held at the Kingsway – Lambton United Church on April 1 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free. To find out more about this event, contact Mary-Margaret MacInnes at 416-234-8224.
