Mississauga set to celebrate Italian style

July 22, 2017 by

A free festival will soon be coming to Mississauga’s Celebration Square that will showcase the culture, music, artistry, food and more of Italy.

The event, which has been named by FEO as being one of the best events of its kind in the province, will be family friendly with lots to see and do for all ages. Both Canadian and Italian artists will be featured, and there will also be food service providers on hand serving up authentic Italian sweet and savory treats. Those with a real appetite can put it to the test during the watermelon or pasta eating contests, and there will be a variety of vendors with product displays to browse through as well.

Both Italian card tournament and bocce ball games have been included in the schedule of activities, and there will be heritage awards presented as well. The Flag Throwers of Faenza will thrill the crowd with their talents, and all of this will be taking place in one location. Businesses and organizations that will be participating in an event like this can have customized pop up banners and other marketing materials prepared for the occasion.

Italfest has been planned for August 18th and 19th, and admission is being offered free of charge. Anyone who is interested in finding out more can do so by visiting the city’s website.
