Mississauga invited to take a step back in time

Downton Abbey is a popular show in Mississauga, and an event has been planned that will give those who take part a chance to experience a taste of what life was like during the Edwardian era.

Benares Historic House will be hosting a traditional cream tea service, complete with sweet and savory small bites. There will be an assortment of teas to choose from, and while they sip and enjoy the treats, the guests will be able to discuss the show and how it compared to what life would really have been like for people during that period in time.

Those who come out will also have an opportunity to tour the house and property and learn about the families and domestic staff who once called it home. Anyone who plans on attending is invited to come dressed in their best gloves and hat, whether they are contemporary of historic. A printer can work with the organizers of an event such as this to provide them with an assortment of themed promotional products to market it to the local area.

The tea will be held on August 6th, and anyone who would like to take part will need to register their interest ahead of time. The ticket price has been set at $15.35 each, which does not include the tax. More details and contact information to sign up to participate can be found on the city of Mississauga website.
