A recent event gave art lovers from Mississauga and the surrounding area an opportunity to enjoy works produced by several local artists and to perhaps even win a piece of art for themselves.

The 16th annual Lakeshore Arts Trial ran from Port Credit to Clarkson. The self-guided tour had 14 stops along the way at different locations across the south of Mississauga. A booklet printing company can produce brochures that give a map of the route that shows each of the stops and indicates which pieces will be on display there. It can also give a brief biography of each of the artists.

Displays had been set up at each of the locations, some of which were public, such as Sheridan Nurseries. Others were in the artist’s actual studios where their create their works. This gave the public a chance to meet the artists in person

The Port Credit Library had set up exhibits of paintings by Wendy Bowe, Adriana Rinaldi, Gabby Tutak and Cathy Clark. According to Ms. Bowe, she has been a part of the art trail for many years, both as a participant and also as someone who followed the route each year enjoying the pieces on display.

At each of the exhibits along the trial, there was an opportunity for those who came out to have their name put in a draw to win an original work of art.
