Mississauga getting ready to celebrate

August 9, 2018 by

As summer transitions to autumn, people from Mississauga and the rest of the GTA will be joining together in a celebration of the rich culture and history of Vietnamese Canadians, and everyone is invited to join in the festivities.

The Viet Summer Fest will provide a showcase of what makes Vietnamese culture special. There will be lots to explore, and young and old alike can enjoy browsing through all that will be on offer.

Visitors at the festival will be treated to an afternoon of activities. There will be live entertainment and other performances for the whole family, including folk music and dance. A wide assortment of traditional and modern Vietnamese dishes will be served to the crowd, and there will also be arts and crafts, vendors and many other activities. It is free to participate, and it is expected to draw thousands of members of the public.

According to the planners of the occasion, the goal of the afternoon is to promote Vietnamese culture in the community and build connections between the diverse cultures that can be found in the city. Banner printing and other services for this sort of large function can be performed by an area printer.

Viet Summer Fest will be taking place this year on September 15 in Celebration Square. More information can be found in the Culture Mississauga website.
