Mississauga fundraiser for cystic fibrosis set for return

June 10, 2018 by

Since it was first held in 1985, the ‘Ride for the Breath of Life’ has raised more than $500,000, and this annual cystic fibrosis fundraiser will soon be back to Mississauga for another year.

On the day of the event, riders will gather at the Streetsville Kinsmen Hall on Queen Street to register and enjoy a snack and coffee while they chat, get organized, and prepare to set out. At 9:30 am, they will put their kickstands up and head out for the ride, which will follow a route that will bring them back to the starting point in time for a BBQ lunch at 1:30 pm to celebrate their efforts.

The registration fee for this function is $50 each, and this includes the snacks, coffee and lunch, as well as a specially designed T-shirt that they can wear to help spread the word about the cause. Promotional products such as this can be both designed and produced by an area printing services provider.

The funds that are collected through this occasion will be used by Cystic Fibrosis Canada to help fund research, advocacy, and clinical care for those living with this disease. The organizers noted that it has made a real difference in these people’s lives.

This year’s ‘Ride for the Breath of Life’ will be taking place on August 25. More information is available on the Insauga website.
