Mississauga evening to explore psoriasis

October 13, 2018 by

Psoriasis is a condition that affects the skin and can sometimes also include arthritis and other autoimmune issues. Those who attend a session to be hosted by the Canadian Psoriasis Network will learn more about this disease and its possible treatments.

The agenda for the workshop includes input from both a local dermatologist and a social worker, and they will discuss psoriasis, living well with condition, current treatments and also those that are on the horizon. Those who plan on attending are welcome to arrive shortly before the session begins so that they can register and enjoy some light refreshments while they network and socialize with one another.

Dr. Michael Corbo, who is a local dermatologist, will be one of the presenters during the workshop, and it will be taking place courtesy of support from both the Canadian Psoriasis Network and Eli Lilly Canada. The plan is for it to run for two hours, and there is no registration fee to participate.

The doors for the function will be open starting at 6:00 pm, and the discussion will begin at 6:30 pm. A presentation like this can be made even more informative by offering the attendees information packages they can take home with them, and these can be provided by an area printing services company.

The Canadian Psoriasis Network will be offering this opportunity for the public to learn more about the condition on November 21 at 1695 The Collegeway in Mississauga. Anyone who is interested is welcome.
