This summer, educators from across the GTA will be adding to their teaching skillset as part of a Mississauga seminar that has been planned with them in mind.

The learning will focus on the area of literacy acquisition, and it will share both the latest research in the field and also tips that educators can use to aid their students when it comes to this area. These can be used in both the classroom and at home, and can make both reading and writing exciting and fun.

The discussion will cover several topics, and will include ways that teachers can incorporate the techniques shared into their lesson plans. It is geared towards those work with children from kindergarten to grade five, and time will be spent on a review of ways that educators can connect with a pupil’s family so that they can aid in the facilitation of building their son or daughter’s literacy skills.

The seminar has been scheduled to begin at 8:30 am, and when they arrive, the attendees will be treated to coffee and a light breakfast. Print shops can prepare presentation folders and other promotional products that can be distributed during this type of educational event.

The ‘Building Best Practices in Balanced Literacy’ session will be offered on July 16 in the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto, which can be found at 100 Traders Boulevard in Mississauga. The organizer of the occasion have included more information about it on its website.
