A day of bowling for a cause has been planned for Mississauga, and its organizers hope that it will be an enjoyable afternoon for everyone who participates.

The Peel Children’s Centre will be hosting its 14 annual Cosmic Bowl Fundraiser, and along with the bowling, a variety of other activities are on the agenda. The goals is to raise as much as possible in support of mental health services for children and youth in the community.

The event, which will be taking place in Classic Bowl, located at 3055 Dundas Street West, will see teams of six and individuals alike raise funds, and there will be prized awarded for most money collected, highest team average score and also lowest team average score. A balloon pop and silent auction have also been planned, and over 100 prizes will be given out.

In an effort to ensure the occasion is a success, the organizers have asked local businesses and organizations to act as sponsors for the activity. Gifts in kind that can be used as prizes will also be most appreciated. Print shops can include the name of any sponsors and donors in the promotional materials crafted for a function like this.

This fundraiser will be held on May 24. More information about the activity can be found on its website.
