Markham asked to take steps to support animals

August 6, 2018 by

Animal lovers from all over Markham and the surrounding communities have been asked to get on their feet and participate in an event that has been organized for the community.

The event has been planned so that it will not only bring people together who share an interest in animal welfare, but will also help to increase awareness about this in the public and raise funds for three different organizations.

Zoocheck, The Save Movement, and Animal Asia will all be the beneficiaries of the annual Peace Fur Paws 5K walk, which will be marking its fourth year. The walkers will gather at Pet Valu Market Markham, which is located at 3987 Highway 7 East, before setting out, and there will be lots of time for the group to socialize and have fun while they make the public more aware of the issues facing the world’s nonhuman residents.

To thank the people who will be taking part in the activity, the organizers noted that each person who signs up before September 1 will be given a free T-shirt that has been specially designed for the walk. A local printer will be able to use graphic design techniques to craft items such as these.

This opportunity for the public to take steps to support animals will be held on September 29. More information, including fundraising tips and other details, can be found by visiting the event’s Facebook page.
