The London Yoga Festival is taking place next month in the city.

The festival is open to people of all levels of yoga experience from beginners to experts. Guests can take up to four free classes in the Great Hall or four specialty classes at a cost of $15 each. Some of the instructors who will be attending this year’s festival are Nicole Balogh, Mike Chapman, Andrew Baerthel and Rachel McGarry. Topics for the specialty classes include “Your hips don’t lie” and yoga self-care while those for the free classes include talks about yoga in the 21st century and demonstrations of chair yoga.

The keynote address will be given by Yogini Shambhavi Devi who will speak following the opening ceremonies.

Food and drink will be available for purchase during the day and a vendor market is set to feature local vendors selling arts and crafts, clothing and yoga-related merchandise. Some of the vendors may hand out promotional products obtained from London print shops.

That evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM there will be a Kirtan concert by Brenda McMorrow featuring Chris Gartner and Marty Kolls. Kirtan is a traditional musical form of narration based on chants. Tickets are $25 each.

The London Yoga Festival will be held on September 23 at the London Waldorf School. Admission is $5 per person. A full-access pass which includes four specialty classes is available for $65. Visit the event website to learn more.
