London families invited to put their green thumbs to work

April 9, 2018 by

London parents who are looking for a way to give their family a chance to give back will be able to do just that during an event that will see them giving the ground of a Community Living London space a spring clean.

Those who get involved in the day will give the property a spruce up by weeding, removing debris, installing flowers and caring for the plants already on site. The materials will be provided to them, but they are asked to bring along their gardening tools.

As they work, the participants will be able to get to know one another and feel good about being of service. They are asked to come dressed for the task at hand and are reminded that, as this will be a hands-on activity, they can expect to get them dirty. If they can provide any equipment such as a wheelbarrow, pruners, shovels or edgers for the day, this will be appreciated.

The organizers noted that there is ample parking at the location, but as only a limited number of volunteer spots are available for this opportunity, anyone who would like to come out should register well ahead of time. Flyer printing can be used to help make the public aware of when an event like this will be held in their area.

This day of activity community service will be held on May 12 at 25 Ford Crescent. More details can be found on the planner’s website.
