Locals to discover specialized programing at local college

Pickering College will open its’ Newmarket campus doors to all parents and children interested in learning more about its Global Leadership Diploma Program.

Exclusively offered by Pickering College, the program challenges students to create and innovate, while acting as fearless agents of change in their communities. There are three separate programs, with curriculums created for different age groups. They are:

– The Foundation Years, for junior students from kindergarten to grade five
– The Pillar Years, for middle school students from grades six to eight
– The Capstone Years, for senior school students from grades nine to twelve

The programming focuses on developing the whole student, preparing them to be independent thinkers. Each program culminates with a Global Leadership Diploma.

The college is asking that all students and parents interested in learning more about this exclusive programming register for the open house being held on Tuesday, February 20. This is a free half day event, offered from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Printing services may be utilized to give parents a deep dive into the Leadership Program’s curriculum and goals, by providing course catalogs and calendars.

Students will be invited to meet the college’s teachers, attend some classes and enjoy lunch in the cafeteria. The day will also include a tour of the college’s historic campus.
