Leduc children set for a night of fun at the museum

Kids from across Leduc will be taking part in an event that will give them a sneak peek at what happens at the Tyrell Museum of Paleontology when the lights go out and the crowds go home.

The facility will be hosting a sleepover night for kids ages 6 to 14. They will set out from Leduc for a sleepover, and once they arrive, the fun will begin. There will be special activities planned for the evening, which will be followed by a night time snack and then it’s lights out. The next day, there will be breakfast, a movie screening, and a museum tour. The participants may even have a chance to create a fossil replica or try their hand at digging fossils. Poster printing can be used to create an assortment of promotional materials for an event like this.

Each child is asked to bring along a sleeping bag, an air mattress and pump, a small flashlight, a pillow, a small amount of spending money, pajamas, personal hygiene products, running shoes, a water bottle and any other supplies they may need for the evening. They are also reminded to pack a lunch that they can eat for supper on the drive to the museum.

The sleepover will take place on March 3rd and 4th. Parents or caregivers can both drop and pick up their child at the Leduc Recreation Centre, and further details can be found on the city’s website.
