Fundraiser to decide on best band in Langley

January 8, 2019 by

The Battle of the Bands fundraiser is taking place next month in Langley. It is a presentation of Gone Country! and all proceeds will be donated to Twins Cancer Fundraising.

Five bands will take turns competing with one another, and at the end of the night only one will be crowned the best band. The bands competing are the Tanner Olsen Band, The Charlatans, Jesse Allen Harris, Kadooh, and 10 Miles West. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, as well as by how loud the audience cheers for them. The winning band will be invited to perform at Gone Country! on July 20, and will receive 10 tickets to the event for family and friends.

There will also be a raffle, ticket giveaways and band merchandise for sale.

Last year’s Battle of the Bands, Gone Country! and other Twins Cancer Fundraising events raised over $651,000 for the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. In six years of operation, they have raised over $3,000,000 for various cancer charities.

This is sure to be a popular event in Langley, and organizers will likely invest in flyer printing services from local printing companies to help spread the word.

The Battle of the Bands will be held at Gabby’s Country Cabaret on February 17 from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Tickets are $19. To learn more about this event and Twins Cancer Fundraising, call 778-988-1479.
